Cobourg News Archive - the Cobourg News Blog has moved

Professional artists Wilhelmina Kennedy and her daughter Helen Kennedy have opened an art shop in Downtown Cobourg.  They called it The Other Door and it’s located in the store next to the Henley Arcade.  It’s an experiment – they have a three month lease and are open only Thursdays through Sundays from 10:00am till 4:00pm.  Wilhelmina and her daughter now live in Cobourg but previously lived in Colborne where Wilhelmina was instrumental in establishing the Colborne Art Gallery.  The gallery has an official opening next week.

Wilhelmina has had four one woman shows at the AGN and Cobourg is lucky to have someone of her calibre locating here.

She has three paintings in the AGN permanent collection – the description of each one includes her bio – e.g. Painting No.2
